How do I buy a vignette on Autopay?

To buy a vignette:

  • log in to the Autopay application
  • in the 'vignettes' section, click on the flag of the country you are interested in
  • check that you have the right vehicle selected
  • select the type of vignette (number of days)
  • indicate the starting date
  • select a vehicle category (if required)
  • ensure that all data is correct
  • confirm payment
  • Once the payment has been credited, the e-vignette will appear in your Autopay account and in your email inbox - within approximately 15 minutes (between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. - not applicable for Austrian vignettes).

Important: Make sure all data is correct before confirming payment - once payment has been made, it cannot be returned or edited. The exception is the vignette for Austria. Remember not to enter a toll route until you have received a PDF containing the vignette in your email or you see the vignette in the Autopay app.

You can also buy a vignette in our Autopay marketplace.

What is a vignette and what does it look like?

Autopay allows the purchase of vignettes to travel on toll roads in Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Hungary.

A vignette is a proof of payment for driving on toll roads in a particular country. The vignette is a PDF file that you can print out or show on your phone during a possible inspection (you do not need to place it behind the windscreen).

The vignette contains the details of the vehicle and its period of validity.

Who can use the vignette service?

Currently the service is available to users on the Mobility Basic and Mobility Firm planswho use a payment card as a payment method on Autopay.

If you do not see the vignettes make sure you are using the latest version of the app.

Where can I find a ready-made vignette?

After purchasing the vignette, you will receive it as a .pdf file to your email inbox within 15 minutes. If you buy it through the app, it will also be available there. If the vignette does not arrive within an hour, please check other folders and contact us via the form below.

We operate 24/7, but we process vignette orders (for Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Hungary) between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. If you make a purchase at night, you will receive your order after 7 a.m. In the case of vignettes purchased "for today" - purchase is possible from 7am.

We carry out vignettes to Austria without interruption.

To open a vignette in the app:

  • log in to your Autopay account
  • at the bottom of the main screen you will see information about the generated vignette
  • click 'Download the vignette'and the PDF will be saved to your phone
  • show PDF during inspection

Rules for purchasing vignettes

You can buy a vignette for a vehicle with a Polish or foreign registration number.

It is best to place an order for a vignette 2-3 days before your planned journey. It is not advisable to do it earlier, as plans like to change and cars like to break down. A generated vignette cannot be changed or returned, so before you confirm payment - make sure that all the details match. Editing or returning a vignette can only be done for Austrian vignettes. For other countries this is not possible. Only consumers can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase. When purchasing for a company, a refund is not possible.

If you want to change the start date of your Austrian vignette, e.g. from 12 November to 2 December, and the price has changed in the meantime, you have to return the old vignette and buy a new one.

With Autopay, you are guaranteed a secure transaction - all vignettes have the necessary information and are official documents (so you have no reason to worry about checks).

Additional tolls in Austria (FLEX)

In Austria, in addition to the standard vignette, there is a system of additional tolls for selected bridges and tunnels, which can be paid in the app using the 'Austria - Tunnels and Bridges' (FLEX) service. This service allows you to easily and cashlessly pay tolls for specific road sections, without having to stop at toll gates. If you already have a valid toll for a particular registration number, FLEX will not charge you again, eliminating the risk of a double charge.

With FLEX you can use the green lanes designated for cars, avoiding queues. However, it is worth bearing in mind that specific rules for the recognition of number plates apply for motorbikes and cars with trailers - in such cases, the barrier may not open automatically and you will have to use an attendant or another lane. The system is particularly beneficial on the A9 motorway, where it is possible to pass through the toll plaza without stopping thanks to the new barrier-free system.
